San Francisco Performances presents the legendary Tokyo String Quartet with renowned clarinetist Sabine Meyer in a program of works by Beethoven, Bartok and Brahms.

The Tokyo Quartet -- Martin Beaver and Kikuei Ikeda (violins), Kazuhide Isomura (viola) and Clive Greensmith (cello) -- celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2009 with more than 40 recordings and countless accolades to its credit.

Sabine Meyer is one of the world's most renowned instrumental soloists. In addition to being engaged by all the world's leading orchestras, she is also accomplished in the field of chamber music, through many long-lasting collaborations, including with the Tokyo Quartet.

The exact program will be: Beethoven: "String Quartet in G Major, Opus 18, No. 2"; Bartok: "String Quartet No. 5"; Brahms: "Quintet in B minor for Clarinet and Strings, Opus 115."
