NetBeans is not as well known as some of the alternatives but has a strong and growing community following.

Sun's Masaki Katakai will introduce the Open Source NetBeans IDE for Web application development, and he'll have some great demos of the NetBeans JavaScript editor, jMaki, and everything else you'll need to know.
