Always an audience favorite, the Stocking Stuffers have become a Lakewood Cultural Center holiday tradition. Featuring some of the region’s finest musicians, Timothy P. & the Rocky Mountain Stocking Stuffers guarantee an updated mix of singin’, pickin’, strummin’, fiddlin’ and lots of laughin’ to kick your holidays off with a smile.

The brainchild of consummate Colorado entertainer Timothy P. Irvin (“Timothy P. & Rural Route III and Flash Cadillac”) and his pals Jon Chandler and Ernie Martinez, the Rocky Mountain Stocking Stuffers create a unique brand of joyful holiday music. In addition to Irvin, who serves as the show’s emcee and lead vocalist, the Rocky Mountain Stocking Stuffers include string wizard Martinez and Denver dobro legend Pat Rossiter. Dakota Blonde’s songbird Mary Huckins contributes her sweet vocals and keyboards, while Jeff Graves adds his trademark bass. One of the country’s finest guitarists, Dana Vernon is featured as is award-winning singer/songwriter, and author Chandler adds guitar, harmonica and vocals. Talk-radio personality and former Ozark Mountain Daredevil Jerry Mills is featured on mandolin. Denver’s fiddlers of choice, Ron Jones and Johnny Neill and premier banjo picker Hereford Percy round out the roster.

With 12 seasons under their belts, these 11 fine Christmastime comrades perform a rollicking show that explores the nuances of the season through original compositions such as Chandler’s “I Want My Daddy Back and “That’s What Christmas Means to Me.” Traditional holiday songs include an incredible eight-minute, five-movement bluegrass version of “Night Before Christmas,” along with “Jingle Bells,” “White Christmas” and a great rendition of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Colorado Christmas.” Irvin’s moving cover of “Christmas in the Trenches” is a show-stopper.

The 2011-2012 Lakewood Cultural Center Presents season is generously supported by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), with appreciation to the citizens of the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, Colorado Creative Industries, to promote, support and expand the creative industries that drive Colorado’s economy, Sheraton Denver West and the Denver Post Community, improving and enriching the lives of those in our community.
