A rare opportunity to learn throat singing from ALASH, the master throat singers from Tuva. In throat singing (or overtone singing), a singer accentuates some overtones enough to make them clearly audible, creating multiple pitches simultaneously. Throat singing does not strain the singer’s throat.

Alash will present two workshop sessions on the Martin Luther King holiday.

Session 1 is for beginners, 12 noon to 2:30 pm.
Session 2 is for those with some throat-singing experience, 3:30 to 6:00 pm.

$30 for one session, $50 for both sessions.

Enrollment is limited and advance registration is required. To register, please email [email protected].
