This is Versailles combine the deft sterility of post-punk with the sex and swagger of contemporary dance-rock. Their intensity and sheer volume bring a snarling, dark dynamic to their petulant pop songs. The result is a unique post-empire sound that's both polished and abrasive, as regimented as it is unruly.
