Programme

United Visual Artists
United Visual Artists are a collective whose current practice spans permanent architectural installation, live performance and responsive installation.

They will present the concept and development of their latest responsive installation commissioned by Covent Garden as part of their Delight Christmas campaign this year. Constellation, is a light-based sculptural intervention which has been designed especially for the indoors of Covent Garden Market Halls.

Markus Kison
Markus Kison is a berlin based artist, working in the field of digital media art / physical computing.

He will talk about his permanent installation "touched echo", an invisible memorial for Bruehl's Terrace (Dresden, Germany), using bone conduction to take visitors back in time.

Troika
Troika was founded by Conny Freyer, Sebastien Noel and Eva Rucki in 2003. With backgrounds in graphic and communication, art, product design and engineering, they develop a variety of self-initiated and commissioned projects that are both engaging and demanding to the user, from printed matter to product design and custom art installations.

They will talk about Cloud, a five meter long digital sculpture whose surface is covered with 4638 flip-dots that can be individually addressed by a computer to animate its entire skin, created as a signature piece for the British Airways luxury lounges in Heathrow Terminal 5.

rAndom International
rAndom International are a London-based experimental design collective founded in 2005 by Hannes Koch, Stuart Wood and Flo Ortkrass after they met at the Royal College of Art. Together they have developed a series of mostly interactive installations that re-interpret our perception of digital technology.

They will present "Audience" a recent installation at the Royal Opera House that starts to look at the behaviour of objects. With Audience they intended to take interaction with and reaction to technology away from the screen or media wall and introduce it into a physical, three dimensional space, hoping to establish a different kind of relationship between viewer and technology.
