BAMP Project presents the American alternative band Third Eye Blind live at The Republik, Hawaii’s newest concert venue, on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Tickets on sale now at ticketing locations listed below.

Based in San Francisco, Third Eye Blind was formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Stephen Jenkins in 1993. The group held the coveted opening slot for the Oasis concert in 1996 at the Civic Auditorium and was well received by the crowd, including a rare opportunity to perform an encore as unsigned artists. The late 90s was a time dominated by angst-ridden music, but Third Eye Blind’s brighter sound and classic pop/rock influence set them apart from their peers.

Third Eye Blind’s 1997 self-titled debut album sold over 6 million copies in the U.S. alone, hitting the Billboard and Top 20 playlists with three popular singles “Semi-Charmed Life”, “Jumper”, and “How’s It Going To Be”. Their second album Blue followed in 1999 and sold 150,000 copies within the first month. The band toured around the world until 2001, when guitarist Cadogan left the group. Third Eye Blind released its third album Out of the Vein in 2003 and prolonged the four album Ursa Major to release in 2009. In March of this year, the group began recording their fifth studio album in London.
