Theatre@First's As You Like It presents: SHAKESPEARE SLAM!
Sunday, August 7, 2-5 pm at The Burren

Come one, come all to this open-mic benefit for this summer's free, outdoor production of As You Like It!

Ever wanted to play Richard III? How about Hamlet? Ever wanted to get that story out of your system about how much you hated being forced to read Julius Caesar in high school, or confess your mortifying middle-school performance of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet under your crush-object's bedroom window?

It's a Shakespeare free-for-all! Now's your chance to get up and perform - or even read - a monologue, sonnet, scene, or personal story.

The afternoon will also feature spoken-word incendiary Michael Anderson, the cast of As You Like It, song-and-dance man Alex Nemiroski, and more!

$5 to perform; $10 to sit back, have a beer, and watch. Greater donations welcome, of course.
