Theatre Auditions: CITY OF ANGELS March 15, 2009

Wheaton Drama, Inc. (WDI) announces auditions for its final show of the 2008-2009 season, the musical "City of Angels" by Larry Gelbart, Cy Coleman, and David Zippel.

Winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score, "City of Angels" follows the comic tribulations of a writer trying to adapt his detective novel to the silver screen in 1940’s Hollywood.

All roles are open. Auditions will be held March 15 and 16 at 7:00pm. (participants should arrive no later than 8:00pm) at Playhouse 111, 111 North Hale Street in Wheaton, IL. No appointments are necessary. Participants should prepare 32 bars of a song from the show or in the style of the show and be ready for cold readings and to dance/move. Call-backs (if needed) will be held on March 18.

"City of Angels" performances are June 5 through 28. Shows are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.
