The British singer-songwriter performs tracks from her brand new album, as well as classic material with her band and orchestra. Her last eight singles have been A-listed on Radio 2, including London which was frequently used by the BBC in their Olympics coverage. Her new single Love Came Looking For Me is released in March. Gilmore’s fans include Bruce Springsteen, Martha Wainwright, and legendary folk singer Joan Baez, who invited her to open one of her concert tours in 2004, they went on to record together.

Gilmore’s 2011 album Don’t Stop Singing brought to life the previously unfinished songs of the late Sandy Denny of Fairport Convention. She also starred in the hugely successful concert and tour, The Lady: A Homage to Sandy Denny.

Influenced by the music of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and of course Fairport Convention, Gilmore’s style is a combination of folk, rock, jazz and Americana with truthful lyrics with which people easily relate. In her own words, ‘making music is one of your best chances in life to be honest; writing songs is about telling your truth’. When you add to this her beautiful, crystalline and self-possessed voice, its easy to see why Thea Gilmore is widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s most accomplished singer-songwriters of her generation.
