It's undeniable: roller derby is back! What started in Chicago in 1935 returns for a whole new era. A new breed of derby dame hellions are catapulting the tradition of sport and spectacle into 2004 and bringing it home with more sass than yo' mama can handle. The wicked seed of derby was planted in the minds of Elizabeth Gomez and Kelly Simmons in the hazy days of summer 2004. The girls dropped their names, developed a game plan and put on their skates, ready to start a Chicago league of their own -- The Windy City Rollers! Now known on the streets as "Juanna Rumbel (Elizabeth)" and "Sister Sledgehammer (Kelly)," they have recruited a roster of ferocious females geared to jump on that flat track and accept their fate in derby. From trash talking to training the Windy City Rollers are serious business and ready to take any derby dame down!
