Pioneering modernist photographer Paul Strand shot, produced, and supervised this powerful blend of documentary and drama about a fishermen’s strike in Mexico, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Fred Zinnemann (High Noon, From Here to Eternity) and Emilio Gómez Muriel. Featuring a non-professional cast of actual local fishermen, and Strand's spectacular photography, Zinnemann described this singular work as “the first (and last) of its kind.” In Spanish with English titles.
