The Victorian Celebration of Death February 24, 2008

Laurel Hill will be offering a presentation and tour highlighting Victorian burial rituals surrounding the death of a loved one, including clothing, mourning and funerary practices. Participants will view ornately crafted monuments illustrating Victorian symbolism and focusing on some of the celebrated individuals who lived and died in this period.
