The Tribeca/espn Sports Day May 3, 2008

Fans of all ages will enjoy a variety of interactive sports related games and demonstrations. The U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) will set up two short courts and a quick serve cage for young players to hone their skills. The New York Jets will have their “Generation Jets Fest” where fans can participate in a football theme park. Mr. Met will be on hand to celebrate the Mets last season at Shea Stadium and Sparky, mascot of the New York Islanders, will greet fans, sign autographs and give away cool gear. The New York Rangers Road Tour will give fans a chance to test the speed of their slap shot and get their picture taken in a life-sized player cutout. And, The Knicks Groove Truck will challenge fans to a 3-point shooting contests, video gaming and giveaway cool Knicks prizes. This event is FREE.
