The Tragically Hip is a Canadian band that plays blues-based pop. The Constantines found themselves together in Guelph Ontario in '99. Their first record received a Juno Award Nomination for Best Alternative Album. They named what they do as soul music, not because of what it sounds like, but where it hits you.
