London's hottest comedy show raises money for charity – Thursday 13 December
Tis the season of giving, so this Christmas, top gastropub, The Tommyfield in Kennington together with Always Be Comedy have decided to donate proceeds from their sensational stand-up show on Thursday 13 December to leading children’s charity Sparks.
All the revenue from ticket sales plus 50p from every pint of beer sold during the event will go direct to Sparks who fund life-saving research into conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be.
Compered by the magnificent James Gill, every act on the bill has donated their time for free, making being for funny for money the most admirable of professions. Generous performers on the line-up include:
Nick Helm: The man, the myth, the legend, TV’s Nick Helm’s ferocious ‘in-your-face’ approach will force you to laugh in the very best way.
Rich Wilson: When Frank Skinner describes an act as "very, very funny" and Time Out think they are “highly entertaining", then and only then are they are good enough for the Tommyfield.
Toby Brown: Referred to as an eternal optimist who is constantly disappointed by both life and the people who live it, Toby is brilliantly engaging and energetic.
Dave Gibson: According to The Mirror, Dave is "painfully funny…He manages that rare feat of making you laugh and cringe at the same time."
Martion Wyatt: A cheeky chappy, Martin’s passion for being the centre of attention results in a slick, punchy and totally confident performance.
Nick Sun: Nick grew up in a renowned Himalayan circus family. An 'international wildcard of comedy', his charismatic stage presence and cutting dark comedy make him one to watch.
