The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum kicks off its 2007 Summer Repertory Season with The Tempest, Shakespeare's final fantasy-romance for the stage. In this classic masterpiece, a magical storm strands a banished Duke's enemies on his isle of exile. Through magic, misadventure and forgiveness, the Duke, his daughter, his foes and his servants are all liberated from the prisons of their pasts to the glorious promise of their futures. Full of comedy, romance, poetry and thrilling magic, The Tempest plays every Sunday afternoon (matinees at 4 pm in June and July, and at 3 pm in August and September) through September 30 in the Theatricum's 299-seat outdoor amphitheater in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains.
