The Sun (Solntse) (Alexander Sokurov, 2005, 115min), the third film in the director's planned tetralogy about the downfall of powerful leaders, details the life of Emperor Hirohito in the days following the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, including the events that led to his radio address in which he asked his nation to surrender, and gave up his divine status.
