An evening of talks of thought and inspiration from leading literary figures affiliated with Kashmir, examining the role of art and literature in conflict resolution, recovery and restorative justice.

Speakers:
JUSTINE HARDY, on “Wounded Kashmir' how the conflict has impacted the collective mindset of Kashmiris.
She has written 3 books on Kashmir, is a trauma conflict therapist, and writes for The Times and Times of India.

PANKAJ MISHRA on “Kashmir and the Western Media”, an analysis of past coverage on Kashmir and the shifting perceptions of the West. He is a serial author and contributes to The Guardian and The New York Times

MIRZA WAHEED on
“The Brutalisation of a People and its Response” and his debut novel “The Collaborator”.
He is currently an editor of the BBC’s Urdu Service

AAMIR BASHIR on “Personalising Politics” and the journey to create his debut film “Harud” (Autumn) on the psychological decay in Kashmir. An actor and writer, his work has featured at the London, Toronto and Mumbai Film Festivals

This event is not-for-profit, focusing on an exploration of the story of Kasmir in film and literature.
