This conference is being organised by the University's Centre for Prison Studies.
Dr Ioan Bala, Director General, National Administration of Penitentiaries, Romania wil be the guest of honour. He is a member of the Association for the Promotion of Women in Romania and Coordinator of a multidisciplinary team aimed at upgrading clinics for children at the Turcanu Louis Hospital.
Dr Bala is working closely with Babes-Bolyai University and SUCPS in the development of prison staff training post de-militarization.
Also speaking will be Ed Wozniak on "The international Corrections and Prisons Association: a Role for Correctional Professionals" and Adrian Neagoe "21st Century prison - The transnational dimension".
