'The Rat King' - A Reading by Maggie MacDonald - with Laura Barrett January 26, 2007

Maggie MacDonald is the author of the novel 'Kill the Robot' (McGilligan Books) and currently serves as Writer in Residence at Hart House at the University of Toronto. Her play 'A Clockwork Gorbachev' was awarded the Hart House Play Writing Award in 2000 and the Robertson Davies Play Writing Award at the Hart House Drama Festival in 2001. From 2001-2003 she served as a member of the Ontario NDP's election planning committee, as co-chair of the Ontario NDP Leader's Tour planning committee, and as Vice-President of Science for Peace. MacDonald graduated from University College at the University of
Toronto. During the course of her studies she developed a love of Ludwig Wittgenstein and became obsessed with the relationship between technology and the body. She is also a member of the bands Republic of Safety and The Hidden Cameras.
