Ragtime Master Bob Milne
Performing Oct. 27 at the Whatcom Museum Old City Hall Building

Described and archived as a “National Treasure” by the U.S. Library of Congress, Bob Milne (considered to be the best ragtime/boogie-woogie pianist in the world) will perform Oct. 27th in Bellingham, WA at The Whatcom Museum Old City Hall Building.

Milne’s concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Whatcom Museum’s Old City Hall Rotunda Room. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets cost $29 and are available at bobmilne.brownpapertickets.com.

Milne’s natural ability to hear and play music goes back to his early childhood. “I knew how to play a piano long before I ever started,” Milne said. “Just push down the notes you hear and the instrument will play itself. Can’t everyone do this?” He considers either looking at music or practicing to be “cheating.”

Milne has been performing as a professional pianist for nearly 50 years and in concert halls worldwide since 1991. He’s played for U.S. presidents and at the 80th birthday party of the late Neil Armstrong. Milne recently participated in a groundbreaking new study using MRI machines to study the functioning of his highly unique neural activity patterns.
