The Quebe Sisters Band (Border Blasters open) December 5, 2008

A trio of fiddle playing, singing sisters are at the center of this exciting band which also includes a Django-master guitarist and grooving upright bass player Drew Phelps. The band plays Bob Wills-style western swing, Benny Goodman-style swing and that Django influenced hot jazz as well as 50’s western and traditional Texas style fiddle tunes. If that isn’t enough, wait until you hear them singing vintage-style three part harmonies! They rock the house and nary will a foot not be tappin’ tonight. While the sisters are local residents, they’ve made a name for themselves from the Grand Ole Opry to The Lincoln Center and are on the verge of becoming national stars.
