”...intensely powerful two-hander...add to that superb acting.” **** The Times
"...performed with exquisite restraint...there is hardly a dry eye in the house by the end." *** Guardian
"...gripping...wrenchingly heartfelt..." *** Evening Standard
"...avoids sentimentality and acquires instead a cool, limpid beauty." *** Whatsonstage.com
Through two poignant, interweaving monologues, Janet and Joe tell the story of their lives of petty crime in Dublin, the act of violence that shattered their marriage and their long years of suffering before Joe's final redemptive act. A moving account of a marriage and a time that have both passed, and an enduring love affair with Dublin city itself.
"See, love between a man and a woman, it’s – private. It happens where you never do see it. In rooms."
