The night opens with a taste from locals upcomers THE PINE NEEDLES as they bring their blend of acoustic stringed instruments and drums, with jazz, rock, and Northern California jamband sensibilities and followed by headliner, bluegrass heavyweight Peter Rowan with the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band. The Grammy-award winner and six-time Grammy nominee, Peter Rowan brings his band of outstanding musicians that cover over 100 years of combined recording and performance experience performers for one night only at the Osher Marin JCC.

The Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band has graced the stages of Hardly Strictly, Grey Fox, Merlefest, and so many more festivals domestic and abroad, entertaining audiences with original and traditional songs executed in vibrant harmony.

Peter Rowan is a bluegrass singer-songwriter with a career spanning over five decades. From his early years playing under the tutelage of bluegrass patriarch Bill Monroe, Peter's stint in Old & In the Way with David Grisman and Jerry Garcia and his subsequent breakout as both a solo performer and bandleader, Rowan has built a devoted, international fan base through his continuous stream of original recordings, collaborative projects, and constant touring.

Nationally acclaimed bluegrass musician Keith Little with Banjo, Vocals.
Paul Knight - Bass, Vocals is well known in these parts for his own music series in Pt Reyes Station.
Michael Witcher - Dobro, Vocals of the "The Witcher Brothers" has recorded or toured with Dwight Yoakam, Fernando Ortega, Laurie Lewis, Tyler Hilton, John Paul Jones, Sara Watkins, The Gibson Brothers, Dolly Parton, Joan Osborn, Willie Watson (Old Crow Medicine Show), and Chris Jones among others. Known for his rich tone and lyrical phrasing, Michael is also a highly sought after instructor.

The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts is the Performing Arts Department within the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center in San Rafael, California.
