This week, The Society makes an obligatory and joyous trip to a great institution of beer enjoyment: the Irish pub. No environment is better suited to house a gaggle of alcohol consumers. Dark, dank surroundings, newspaper clippings, photos of boxers, and a healthy hatred of all things British are all good for prodding the downing of a draught. Kate O'Brien's refers to the tradition of Irish hospitality to encourage the acquittal of thirst by its patrons. Come join The Society and have a beer on The Onion. As always, The Onion's buying the beer so you can truly enjoy it (while supplies last).
