To celebrate the Institute for Optimum Nutrition’s 25 years of service to health professionals and the general public, ION will be holding The Nutritional Needs of Mankind conference on Saturday 4th April 2009 at the Chartered Accountants’ Hall in Moorgate Place, London EC2.
The conference sponsored by Nutri, Biocare ,Higher Nature ,Bio Nutri and the Nutri Centre is a perfect opportunity for practitioners and students to learn from a selection of speakers, who are considered experts in their field.
About the conference and key themes
We will discover which nutrients were rich in the hunter gatherer diet and which are deficient in the twenty first century Western diet, and look at how this may be remedied.
The nation needs to obtain maximum health through optimum nutrition, and our conference is to debate how that can be achieved. Patterns of serious ill health in the West are expanding exponentially, and sound nutrition could be a key to preventive medicine
Each speaker has a part of the tale to tell, in looking at what is happening in farming and manufacture and in food distribution and its quality. All of these things are crucial to the way forward. With the development of Biotech and Pharma foods and nanotechnology, we have no way of knowing what effects that will have on nutritional quality in the future.
Aims of the conference:
To demonstrate how good nutrition is vital for optimum health
To encourage discussion between delegates and speakers
Networking opportunities
Using the latest research and scientific evidence on how the modern environment encourages the many problems in today’s western diet and how this can be remedied for optimum health
