Asparagus was cultivated by the ancient Greeks and Romans, who valued it for its taste as well as its purported medicinal properties. Join guest chef Ben Bebenroth, executive chef and owner of Spice of Life Catering, for a presentation on the natural history of this nutrient-dense vegetable. He’ll then create a seven-course dinner featuring asparagus that makes the most of its unique flavor. Bebenroth and wine purveyor Mary Lapham will provide commentary on each course and its complementary wine.
