Con man "Professor" Harold Hill comes to town to convince the Mayor, his wife and citizens that their children and town is doomed without a magnificent marching band. His plan is to sell them the instruments and uniforms then abscond with the money. But Hill doesn't count on the people of River City calling upon him to prove himself or falling in love with the town librarian, Marian.

This stellar cast includes Chris Boeckx as Professor Harold Hill, Kelly Twedt as Marian, Dan Bray as Charlie Cowell, Jan Giese as Eulalie MacKecknie Schinn, Elisabeth Sells as Amaryillis and Matthew Gnojek as Marcellus.

Featuring memorable songs including "Goodnight My Someone," "76 Trombones," "Till There Was You," "Gary, Indiana" and "Ya Got Trouble (In River City)," Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" makes the world seem like a pretty good place after all.

Willson wrote three Broadway musicals: “The Music Man,” his first and most successful;“The Unsinkable Molly Brown” (music and lyrics), and “Here's Love” (book, music and lyrics).“The Music Man” was a project that had been many years in the making. The idea for the show was originally suggested by Frank Loesser who was fascinated by Willson's tales of growing up in his small Iowa town. But it would be eight years before Willson was satisfied with the script. During that time, he would go through more than 30 revisions and write over 40 different songs.
