San Francisco, Calif. – The Munchkin Kids Fun Run, benefiting the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center (SFCAPC), is taking place at the annual San Francisco Marathon on Sunday, July 31st starting at 9:00 am. The event is designed to encourage physical fitness among children by hosting three different races: the 1 mile, 1/2 mile or the 100 yard dash. The SFCAPC believes that fitness is important at all stages of life, and the Munchkin Kids Run is a way for kids of all ages to participate on Race Day. Funds raised from the race will support child abuse programs at SFCAPC and help strengthen our community.

The event will start and end on the Embarcadero at Mission Street. Pre-registration is required and the cost to participate is $25. All competitors will receive a runner’s bib with their name on it, a signature medal for finishing, t-shirt, and food and drinks after the race at the Munchkin Festival.
