StorySLAMs are open to any and all with a five-minute story on the evening's theme. Typically, 25 to 30 would-be storytellers vie for the 10 open-mic slots. The stories are scored by teams of judges in the audience and a winner is slected at every StorySLAM. Twice per year, the StorySLAM winners face off in The Moth's GrandSLAM Championships.
