The Melting Pot NYC presents:

?Cause I?m A Woman?

In 1987, National Women's History Month became enacted by the U.S. Congress to expand the national celebration to the entire month of March. Each year, programs and activities in schools, workplaces, and communities have become more extensive as information and program ideas have been developed and shared. The popularity of women's history celebrations has sparked a new interest in uncovering women's forgotten heritage. The Melting Pot NYC is holding their monthly event in celebration of such achievements by having women take over the turntables. That right! Spinning will be sounds of DJ Selly(Ubiquita/Guernica) and DJ Sabine(Soul in the Hole). Finally, you never know who you might see on the dancefloor as the buzz of this soiree' is one of "come as you are and be a part of the vibe". Dancers bring the baby powder to bless the floor and musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments to play along. For those that want to partake in the Open Mic..sign up!....but the catch is... the music and the dancing never stops...for more information go to
