CROCODILE CAFE -- ALL AGES

It was more than a decade ago that a Melbourne rockabilly covers outfit called the Runaway Boys wrote a bunch of original tunes and changed their name to THE LIVING END. Ten and a bit years later, that same band have racked up a quintuple-platinum album, two platinum and five gold records, won numerous ARIA awards, countless other accolades and gathered fans all over the world. What’s more important, while some bands seem old and outdated only two or three years after they start, guitarist Chris Cheney, bass player Scott Owen and “new” drummer Andy Strachan are every bit as exciting a prospect as they were way back when. On the back of the #1 Platinum selling album State Of Emergency and four hit singles (“What's On Your Radio?,” “Wake Up,” “Long Live The Weekend” and “Nothing Lasts Forever”) The Living End embarked on their largest and most ambitious Australian tour in May of this year. Fortunately for their legion of fans, the sold out Festival Hall show in their hometown of Melbourne was captured on film and has just been released on DVD. The Living End -- Live At Festival Hall, Melbourne 2006 captures the band in full flight, confirming their status as this country’s premier live band. The DVD also contains every video from their current State Of Emergency album -- some of the bands best videos to date. With The Living End currently completing an extensive national tour, having just received 6 ARIA Nominations -- Best Group, Best Rock Album, Best Cover Art, Best Video, Engineer of the Year, Producer of the Year -- this live DVD caps off an incredible year for the band who have also toured throughout the US, Japan and New Zealand. The Living End -- Live At Festival Hall, Melbourne 2006 is a must have for any TLE fan or anyone that loves high-octane live music.
