The Little Mermaid September 26, 2009

In this enchanting musical setting of Hans Christian Anderson’s ever-enduring story, Anemone, an adventurous young mermaid, swims to the surface world in search of the prince of her dreams, whose statue she has found. When a jealous Sea-Witch conjures up a storm that sinks the ship carrying the prince, Anemone bravely dives under the waves to save him, but not before she has been tricked into giving up her voice to the Sea-Witch. The prince quickly recovers from his near-fatal ordeal, but he believes that Georgina, who found him on the rocks, saved him, and he gratefully declares that she will become his wife. Then the prince meets the voiceless but beguiling Anemone, setting up a romantic triangle that only hope, patience, and true love can bring to a “happily ever after” resolution for everyone.
