This one-day training session is intended to educate individuals active in the environmental field about the legal tools available to protect our air, water, land, and human health. Lawyers from the Sierra Legal Defence Fund will lead this workshop. These lawyers, along with legal experts, will guide small working groups through specific fact situations and legal strategies.

During the first half of the day, participants will receive a nuts and bolts overview of the laws that protect our environment, including court actions, Ontario's Environmental Bill of Rights, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, prosecutions, freedom of information, petitions under provincial, federal, and international law.

Registration is $60 for individuals in organizations with budgets under $500k and $85 for individuals in organizations with budgets over $500k and is due two weeks prior.
