The Killers proved to the world that we needed another dose of 80's-style synth-rock. Their 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss, was nominated for the Best Rock Album Grammy, and the young band has played with everyone from U2 to Coldplay.

The Killers formed in 2002, quickly gaining a following at the local clubs they played and turning out strong hit songs for the radio. They were one of many dance-rock and synth infused outfits to break on to the scene at the time, along with The Strokes and Franz Ferdinand. Their debut album, Hot Fuss, arrived with a bevy of chart-toppers in 2004.
