In 1998 The Circus emerged from the misty hills of Sleepy Hollow, New York and exploded upon the Hudson Valley music scene. The quirky quartet then began touring throughout the northeast and rapidly developed a fiercely loyal, all-ages following. Their music has been described as "Hillbilly-Floyd, folk-pop", "alt-country roots-rock", and "surreal Americana". This music is not only uplifting and empowering but also a lot of fun.

The Kennedys may wield acoustic guitars (bright orange Gretsch models), but they don?t play folk. They have loyal followings in both the pure guitar pop camp as well as the singer-songwriter set. Their personal chemistry, their love for each other and their unashamedly idealistic pop vision has helped them carve out their own niche onstage and in the studio.
