“The Jungle’s Child” opens on Saturday March 20 and runs Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 p.m.; through April 11. ** No performance Easter Sunday April 4. Sunday April 11 shows at 1 p.m. and 3 p. m. Eight summers ago in India, a spirited infant wanders off into the wild and the Jungle and its Brothers will never be the same again…
Join the adventures of Little Frog, a hairless “Man Cub”, raised in the jungles of India by a pack of loyal wolves. Watch as Little Frog and his beloved jungle brothers, Bear and Panther, grow together and discover that the bonds of kinship are not forged by fangs and fur, but by the strength of your heart. When the Tiger threatens his life and the “disturbed” Monkey King complicates his plans to uncover the mystery of the “Man Place”, Little Frog must leave behind his carefree days as a “Cub” to pursue the truth of his origins.
Inspired by the stories of Rudyard Kipling, local playwright Theresa Dwyer Reid gives us a portrayal of one child’s journey into manhood—and how the love of his animal brothers help to get him to his destination.
Cast under the direction of Rita Broderick: Ayden Armstrong, Branwen Armstrong, Jordan Dale, Bonnie Evans, Loren Lang, Jonah Lujan, Alexander Myers, Zach Page, Jessie Page, Clarissa Solis, Miah Solis, Hannah Weideman and Emily Weston.
