The Inaugural Lecture-Performance of the MZJ Ensemble, showcasing works by composer M. Zachary Johnson October 15, 2008

From the composer whose works have been heard in Steinway Hall and Carnegie Hall, here is a NY-based ensemble: the MZJ Ensemble.

Performances include discussion of the music by the composer, examples played by ensemble members, and full performances of the works.

October concert program includes:

* Memorial from Two Military Pieces
* Adagio for Alto Saxophone & Winds featuring saxophonist Javier Oviedo
* an arrangement of Schubert's Ave Maria, and
* excerpts from a new work, Portrait of a Woman
