Announcing The Ice at Discovery Green is back to Houston’s spectacular new downtown park!
The Ice At Discovery Green, Holiday Skating On The Lake, Presented by
the Houston Chronicle, will span 7,200-sq. ft. of real frozen ice—deep in the heart of Texas.
Sure to be a favorite holiday-season destination, the ice rink opens Thanksgiving Day,
November 24, and runs through February 26, 2012.

Clean, comfortable rental skates will be offered, in sizes from tiny youth-9 up to adult-14.
Double-runner lace-up skates will be available for the youngest skaters, even those as young
as 3-years old: If you can walk, you can skate! A separate ice-play area for toddlers
will be located next to the main rink.

Discounted Rates are offered, based on the size of your group. For 15-20-skaters,
$1.00 OFF admission, or $9/skater. For 21-49-skaters, $1.50 OFF, or $8.50/skater.
For groups of 50+, $2.00 OFF, or $8/skater. All rates include rental skates.
Basic skills instruction for your group is available at a modest cost, if you prefer.
Advance reservations for group discounts are REQUIRED.
A 50% deposit will hold your reservation.

The Best Times to schedule your group outing will be on non-holiday and
non-Saturday dates, from 4:00-9:00pm; school-day afternoons and evenings are best.
We urge you to consider dates before December 19 and after January 4.
