The Humane City: Race, Ethnicity and Freedom in Urban America November 12, 2009

This entry in the Town Hall Meeting Program of the federal Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission will feature a distinguished panel of public intellectuals -- including Eric Foner, Pedro Noguera and Jeff Johnson -- leading a public conversation focusing on the question of whether urban America is poised to continue building on Lincoln's legacy of freedom and equality of opportunity, or whether it has become one of the least likely places to find Lincoln's legacy alive.
