Observational Science is dedicated to the creation of new theatre works through cross-disciplinary experimentation and collaboration. Drawing inspiration from a broad range of subject matter and creative media, its central purpose is two-fold: 1) To cultivate new theatrical forms and techniques that both challenge and reflect contemporary society; 2) To disrupt the containment and stability of theatrical tradition.
The non-profit SAFEhouse ( Saving Art From Extinction) was founded by Joe Landini in 2003 to create new forums for contemporary performance. In 2007 he founded The Garage to create a "safehouse" for local performers and foster a creative community that is both inclusive and professional. RAW is a twelve week residency program offering approximately four- six hours of free rehearsal space that culminates in two nights of performance.
