The Longfellow Chorus, Inc., will present an extraordinary international selection of 19th, 20th and 21st century vocal settings of poems by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, including eight world premieres of winning entries from New Zealand, Italy, California, Oregon, Florida, Indiana and New Hampshire in The Longfellow Chorus 2007 International Composers Competition. Preceding the concert, there will be a 2:00 PM pre-concert lecture by composer William D. Pardus, Professor Emeritus of Music and former chairman of the Music Department at Keene State College, New Hampshire, about the premiere of his Three Songs of the Coast. $10-$15 suggested donation at the door.
