BAMP Project, Hawaii's premier concert production company presents The Green performing live at The Republik, Hawaii's newest concert venue. The group makes a stop back in the islands during their Liars and Lovers tour on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20, 2012 following the digital release of new single “Liar” and “Love & Affection (Billy Van Remix)”. Tickets go on sale today, at the locations listed below.

The Green recently announced its Liars and Lovers tour, the group’s first headlining mainland tour, after this summer’s Vans Warped Tour performances. The Hawaii based group consists of four talented singer-songwriters, Caleb Keolanui, Ikaika Antone on the keyboard, with JP Kennedy and Zion Thompson playing guitar. Synthesizing reggae and contemporary sounds, the group creates modern music that puts them in the spotlight of Hawaii’s reggae scene. “Liar” and “Love & Affection (Billy Van Remix)” were digitally released by Easy Star Records on September 11, 2012. The “Love & Affection” remix is just a sample of the dubstep and electro element Billy Van will bring to their west coast shows.

Two years ago, the band released their self-titled debut album, which made the Billboard’s 2010 Year-End Top 10 Reggae chart, was honored iTunes’ Reggae Album of the Year, and also won Best Reggae Album at Hawaii’s 2011 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. The group released its sophomore album Ways & Means, which spent four weeks at number 1 on Billboard’s Reggae Chart in 2011. Mixing in R&B, Soul, and Pop in the second album broaden their listening audience outside the reggae crowd. The versatile ability to play both classic and modern reggae music, in addition to distinctive songwriting and harmonies put The Green on the brink of gaining national recognition.
