The Radiochick Corporation has been awarded the rights to stage 'The Gong Show Live' in venues throughout the U.S. Leslie Gold, The Radiochick, is a New York City-based radio and TV talk show host, who has long been an admirer of the insanity and spirit of the show that changed television forever. The genius of Chuck Barris was to put real people on stage and screen, and allow them to show off or humiliate themselves, which laid the foundation for virtually every reality show competition we see on TV today. The audience of 'The Gong Show' was either laughing to tears or scared for their lives. This is a theatrical production - it is not an amateur talent contest. This is a theatrical stage presentation of the iconic 70's TV show, staged for the modern day. Last-minute acts selected from the show's audience will also be selected to perform.
