San Diego will be taking part in the largest wine celebration around the globe! On November 18, 2010 from 5:00 PM to Midnight, the Georges Duboeuf “Nu Beau” Celebration will take over the Gaslamp Quarter one sip at a time! Every year, in celebration of the harvest, Georges Duboeuf unveils another interpretation of his highly anticipated Beaujolais Nouveau; by law the wine is only allowed to be open after midnight on the third Thursday of November. The opening will be celebrated in time zones around the world, and San Diego will be the final city to uncork the wine. .The Gaslamp Quarter will host the grand finale event. Wine aficionados will start off the evening in the Gaslamp Museum Park on 4th and Island, where they will pick up their party passports and tantalize their palates with a sampling of wine. The celebration continues at over 20 of the hottest bars and restaurants where your passport and senses will be your ticket to an array of Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau specials and other exciting deals featured in each location. The Quarter will come alive and embrace the energy of this festive arrival with sidewalk performances by zany circus jugglers and contortionists.
