Be a part of a studio audience for a filming of a live TPT tv special on the legacy of the George Maurer Group, PLUS the taping of a NEW live cd (both to be released later in 2011). Come for a rare early set (with Happy Hour libations) at 4:30-6, then stick around for the evening sets at 8 and 9:30pm. Audiences across the country know George as a pianist/keyboardist who has played his way from Congress to the Crickets. He has been called Minnesota's premier jazz pianist and gained acclaim with the George Maurer Jazz Group and Trio as well as his collaborations with vocalists. But playing is just a small part of his repertoire. George has created original compositions for orchestra and ballet, big band and Bobby Vee. He writes original scores for film, theater and dance, which display his unique talent for developing the relationship between music, movement and words.
