What do George Steinbrenner, Tony Curtis, Lena Horne and Art Linkletter have in common? They all died in 2010 and federal tax laws permitted them to pass their accumulated wealth on to their families without paying any estate transfer tax. In 2011, the federal estate tax will return.

There has been much written about the repeal of the estate and the generation skipping transfer tax, but what exactly does it all mean? Are you concerned about how this may effect your long term and short term estate planning?

The community is invited to attend a panel discussion entitled “The Future of Wealth Transfer Planning, 2011 and Beyond”. This one-of-a-kind forum, discussing strategies for dealing with the repeal, will be offered on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6:30pm at the Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust Conference Center. You should plan to attend if you: are concerned about protecting your assets for your heirs, are a business owner with business succession planning issues, have advanced estate/tax planning issues, have a taxable estate over $1,000,000, or would like to minimize estate taxes and reduce income tax.

The panel, sponsored by the Trust and Asset Management Group of Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust, will feature David Frees, III, Esq., Partner, Unruh, Turner, Burke & Frees; Laura Stegossi, Esq, Partner, Weber Gallagher; Robert Stevenson, CPA, Kimmel Lorah & Associates; and Kurt A. Kunsch, VP/Managing Director, Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust.

This event is free but reservations are required as seating is limited, so please register by calling 610-935-8304. Light fare will be served. The location of the Phoenixville Federal Conference Center is 564 Nutt Road, Phoenixville.
