San Rafael, CA—2009 The 4th annual Great American Blues and BBQ Festival will be a Rockin' & Smokin' Back to the Roots All American musical and gastronomical get down featuring the cream of the Bay Areas Blues Artists and the best Barbequers by the Bay. Come celebrate Marin's outstanding heritage of great American roots music and its passion for gourmet soul food. The line up of Blues music gets the folks up to dance and complements the Red sauces of over 12 master barbequers! Pork Ribs, Beef Brisket, Tri Tip and Chicken, it will all be “finger lickin’ good”. More BBQ than ever!

Music is headlined by Austin de Lone's R & B-B-Q Review featuring Sugar Pie De Santo and heavy hitting surprise special guest. (TBA September 1st) You can also boogie to the Delta Wires and the JC Smith band. Saturday September 12th will be a day of "Ribs and Rhythm" on 4th street between Cijos St. and A in Downtown San Rafael. The event will promote awareness and support for Prader-Willi Syndrome research. The fun starts at 11 and goes to 6. One day only! Admission is Free.
