You're probably aware of our $25 Wine Class. On Monday, December 19 we've got a newer, slightly more expensive (but still very affordable!) version of the class. Why $45 this time? It's because instructors Paul Brady and Robin Sidor will be team teaching about high-end grower champagnes -- and you'll get to taste some of these very special beverages. We don't even offer these wines on our menu, so this class gives you the opportunity to try them at a really great value while enhancing your wine knowledge.

So let's find out what you're going to learn from Paul and Robin. Iconic importer Terry Theise introduced grower Champagne to the American market in the 1980s. Theise has shown us that the big houses (Moet, Chandon, Veuve Cliquot, etc), seek to sell reliable Champagnes that taste the same year after year, to appeal to the masses, whereas the small producer seeks to express the terroir from his or her land, even in non vintage bottles. This class tasting will consist of a Champagne from one of the big houses that we will compare with a non vintage small producer/grower Champagne, and a small producer/grower Champagne from a vintage year. What does a "vintage year" mean? Come to the class to find out that and more!
